“This year’s Limited Edition Christmas Ornament is the Centering Cross. The design was inspired by an absolutely beautiful book on crosses that was sent to me by a client and friend, Dr. Deborah Bishop.
Over the years I have developed a morning routine of rising early and creating a meaningful focus to center myself on God. The design of this cross draws the eye and provides a focal point as I get my day started.
To get the results I want, I use heavy 14 gauge copper sheet and both ball and cross pein hammers to make thousands of precisely placed planishing marks on each cross to create the texture that I envisioned.
Originally created as holiday ornaments, over the years many people have shared with me that they have given one of my crosses as an encouraging gift or they keep it on their bedside table to use all year. With that in mind, I can create the cross without a hook or hole at the top if you prefer, just let me know in the notes.”
