We were asked to create a cool design for a young woman who appreciates unusual jewelry. We were up for the challenge.
Silver Obsidian is a beautiful type of volcanic glass that is formed when molten lava cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. The 'silver' aspect comes from tiny gas bubbles or inclusions within the obsidian which reflect light and give it a metallic sheen.
Pairing the natural stone with sleek sterling silver and leather cording is a classic, chic, and youthful combination.
Approximate dimensions:
The pendant itself is approximately 18 x 24mm, 30mm including the bail. The stone itself is 12 x 18mm.
The leather cord necklace is 18 inches including the handmade sterling silver clasp. It can be made longer or shorter by leaving a note when you check out in the "Notes" section.
